Printing Friends is a magazine about design and creativity which is published by the print house Danagård LiTHO in Sweden. Since 2010, the magazine has been designed around different industry related themes, but in 2014 it was time for something different. The new Printing Friends wanted to delve into themes that appeal to a wider audience, while still focusing on inspiring creatives. The magazine oozes vision, thoughts and creativity in a down to earth way. It contains everything from illustrations, photography, and typography to personal stories. Printing Friends is an influential, print-exclusive magazine where talent and creators collide and are showcased to inspire anyone with a creative bend.
Issue No.8 – Food
In this issue, Printing Friends took a culinary trip around the world and ate mashed potato typography, a coconut flavoured “space burger” and a knitted hot dog (among many other delicacies). Snask designed the issue and cover, a deliciously baked “P” cake for Printing. Once the reader arrives to the back cover, a piece of cake is being served, and the “P” becomes and “F” for Friends. Clever, eh? We layered spicy concepts, added a dash of elegance, and infused the entire issue with whimsical decadence. Let them eat type!
