YAY Festival, 2012
Identity design for the Yay Festival, a creative Scandinavian festival co-founded by Snask & Grandin’s Flying Circus.
BACKGROUND:
The YAY Festival began with a vision to create Scandinavia’s most visited creative festival that people all over the globe would gossip about. After visiting different lectures and festivals around the globe, we found there were still things missing from these events. This sparked our idea of a festival that combined inspiring and entertaining talks, live music, and a spectacular after party – all packaged as one festival. Co-founded in 2012 by Snask (that’s us!) & Grandin’s Flying Circus, the YAY festival promised mind-blowing talks, responsible beer drinking, astonishing bands, and impeccable DJs!
THE CASE:
We arranged the first festival as a free event sponsored by financial partners. Ten days before the event, the guestlist was full. Interest was so massive, that on the night of the festival, the small venue was instantly packed with 150 people, with a long queue outside. The inaugural YAY Festival was a jaw-dropping success with tons of potential for future growth.
