Simris Alg, or Simris as we call it, is a Swedish pioneering agribusiness that farms, grows, and harvests algae on Österlen, Sweden’s version of California. The area is characterized by its natural beauty, farmland, and low degree of urbanization. Simris operates in an exciting new market and is leading in algae cultivation, backed by plenty of awards for its innovative products that act as health boosters. British entrepreneur and adventurer Richard Branson has said that algae has the potential to become the jet fuel of tomorrow—and we agree!
The goal of the Simris graphic identity was to make algae and algae farmers cool by making the brand feel international, premium, and personal. Between 2012 and 2014, we created the look and feel of this brand from the ground up with a clean, modern graphic identity, graphic manual, packaging design, printed business assets, and overall visual expression for Simris. In 2015, Simris released their first branded product lines, Simris Omega-3 and Simris Select – a series of world-unique supplements and algae-infused nutrition boosters. Their algae products are on every blogger’s lips, and angel investors from around the globe are pouring bags of money into the company’s farm coveralls.
